Mission
The Bayreuth Lab for Digital Sciences (BayLDS) is intended to be an interdisciplinary and cross-faculty exchange institution that brings together the different areas of AI and IT-related research and teaching at the University of Bayreuth and generates synergies. The BayLDS addresses those researchers who already use digital methods, such as machine learning, simulation methods, or optimization algorithms, in research or who are looking for competencies on the topic or who deal with theoretical foundations and societal implications. Our goal is to bring together research and teaching in the field of digital sciences at the University of Bayreuth and to bundle competencies.
